Where education meets design and functionality. In collaboration with Confection, we developed this unique project for Steno Diabetes Center. The concept consisted of small food replicas with built-in chips. When placed in the holder, the system scans them and a screen displays the nutritional content of the food item. By combining multiple replicas, people with diabetes can learn how to create the perfect energy balance. Our task was to make this educational concept mobile. Using 3D printing and the skills of our talented sign technicians, we built three suitcases with custom slots for the replicas. It is about how we can support learning through functional design, skilled craftsmanship and technology.
